Game Pulse is a strategy, simulation, and sports game for PC that delivers a digital cards and dice baseball experience. The 2015 Season Set expands the base game with complete rosters, player cards, and ballparks drawn directly from that year's Major League Baseball season. Every rating stems from actual performance data, including full regular season and postseason results, so standout performances like Bryce Harper's unanimous MVP campaign or Zack Greinke's league-low 1.66 ERA translate into precise card values.
Gameplay
Game Pulse resolves every plate appearance through player cards and dice rolls. Batters and pitchers receive ratings built from real 2015 statistics, adjusted by park factors that reflect each stadium's run environment. This produces authentic outcomes where Coors Field plays differently from Fenway Park or Dodger Stadium. Managers handle lineups, rotations, bullpen decisions, and substitutions in real time. The system tracks fatigue, generates player and team statistics, and applies AI manager logic for automated play. Dice trends analytics provide insight into results over multiple games. Mid-season roster moves receive separate cards for each team plus combined totals, while Madison Bumgarner includes both a pitcher card and a dedicated batter card reflecting his five home runs that year.
Game Modes
The 2015 Season Set integrates fully with every available mode. Full season play lets users manage an entire schedule with as-played lineups and standings that update dynamically. Tournament brackets support postseason-style competitions. Board Game Companion mode allows entry of results from physical Payoff Pitch sessions for stat tracking without replacing the tabletop experience. Exhibition games and custom matchups enable quick head-to-head contests or historical replays, such as Kansas City versus New York in the World Series. All core systems, including AI decisions and overlays, function seamlessly across these options.
2015 Season Highlights
The set captures a memorable year in baseball. Kansas City captured the American League pennant and World Series title through dramatic comebacks, including multiple wins after trailing late in games. The National League Central produced the three best records in baseball, led by St. Louis at 100 wins. Pitching standouts include Jake Arrieta's 1.77 ERA and no-hitter, Clayton Kershaw's 301 strikeouts, and Dallas Keuchel's perfect home record. Position player standouts feature Josh Donaldson's AL MVP season with 123 RBIs, Chris Davis leading the majors with 47 home runs, and rookies Kris Bryant and Carlos Correa. Alex Rodriguez reached 3,000 hits, while Jos茅 Bautista's memorable bat flip helped Toronto reach the League Championship Series. All thirty teams and thirty ballparks appear under their 2015 names with accurate dimensions and effects.
Is It Worth Playing?
Game Pulse with the 2015 Season Set appeals to players who enjoy deep, statistically grounded baseball management. The cards and dice foundation creates tension through every at-bat while supporting both detailed pitch-by-pitch sessions and faster simulation of full seasons. Historical accuracy in ratings and park factors rewards those interested in reliving or altering real events from that year. The variety of modes supports different play styles, from solo season management to bracket tournaments or integration with physical board game sessions. Availability on PC with ongoing season set support makes it a solid choice for strategy fans seeking authentic tabletop simulation without the physical components.
