Hi! We're the Super Duper Vibes team and this is Drone District, an arcade FPV drone game for everyone!
FPV drone simulators are lots of fun, but they can be really hard on beginners. If you're looking to jump right into the action and fulfill your drone-flying fantasy in an Arcade-focused game without a steep learning curve - we've got what you need. The game mashes up the flow of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater with the freedom of Burnout Paradise—but with drones. And bullet-time.
✪ Just Start Flying! We've designed Drone District to be an entry level game in the world of FPV drone games. Someone who had no previous experience flying a drone (be it a real-life one, or virtual) will be able to pick it up, complete the tutorial to learn the basics, and jump right into their aerobatics fantasy. Once you master the easy controls the 'pro' flight mode is just a button tap away, so you can switch seamlessly and begin to perform some more advanced maneuvers.
✪ Perform sick tricks. Each corner of the map is filled to the brim with opportunity to grind rails (yes!), slide, flip, roll, clear gaps, and prove your piloting mastery. Chain the tricks to keep the combo-meter pumping and score BIG. Compete with other players in many thematic leader boards, and earn the bragging rights among other Steam players. Having a hard time fitting through a tight corner? Make use of your limited Bullet Time that replenishes over time and is available at a key press to help you take on the most challenging manouvers.
✪ Master the race tracks. Racing against the clock lies at the very heart of Drone District. Dash through tight alleys, coast over rooftops, or skim the beachfront at golden hour. Every corner of the game's world offers easy races and hard races to give you a challenge fitting your skill and mood. Some of the goal gates may be really tricky to get to, and it will be particularly tough to shave off a couple of milliseconds from your leader board-recorded time.
✪ Enjoy the freedom. What's the fun in flying a drone if you can't explore a bit? Drone District offers large maps that take a while to traverse in full. To keep things exciting, they are divided into titular 'districts', each coming with a separate set of local goals. Race courses, special goals, sets of collectibles, and well-hidden secrets make each district packed with things to do, just like in the aforementioned classics: Burnout Paradise, and THPS. In case of an unfortunate crash the time will reverse for a short while to bring you back to safety and allow you not to repeat your mistake.
✪ Use your radio controler. The game is playable on a keyboard, but - as you would expect - it's preferrable to use an Xbox controller... However, if you happen to own an actual FPV radio controller, there's a good chance the game already supports it, allows for it custom configuration, or will support it in near future. You'll be able to re-map the particular controls to your liking in-game.
