Choose a 9×9, 13×13, or 19×19 board and play with Chinese or Japanese rules. Configure komi and fixed handicap settings, then complete scoring by marking dead stones and confirming the result.
Learn and improve
Follow a structured path from basic rules and capturing to connection, life and death, full games, and review. Practise with interactive problems, hints, alternative solutions, and explanations after incorrect moves.
Play your way
Challenge the bundled local AI at several target strengths and styles, or share the computer for a local two-player match. Local AI strength is approximate and depends on the selected compute mode and your hardware.
Study game records
Import SGF files, browse branches and comments, add bookmarks and node notes, try variations, adjust playback speed, and review important moments with locally generated analysis when available.
Connect through OGS
Use the OGS lobby for online games and spectating, or create a private room for a friend when the online service is available. An OGS account and internet connection are required for OGS play.
