Heavy Burden VR is an atmospheric first-person platformer in virtual reality, where you drag a heavy stone through the sandy ruins of an ancient world, overcoming obstacles and the philosophical questions of existence. The game is inspired by Camus’ ideas about humanity’s struggle with the absurd and the endless search for meaning.
Story
You are a nameless hero, awakening among ruins where eternity is frozen in stone and marble. Your task is to carry the stone to a burning brazier. But why? What will it bring? And who set this goal before you? Throughout the game, the character encounters symbols and voices representing two opposing views: traditional religious faith and the philosophy of the absurd, where meaning is not given but chosen. The question is not what awaits at the end of the path — but why walk it at all.
Gameplay
Each level is a challenge in which the player must drag the stone from the starting point to the brazier at the end of the route. The stone is heavy: it hinders movement, limits jumps, and requires effort and attention. Gameplay is built on interaction with the environment, platforming puzzles, and precise spatial movement. VR mode enhances immersion — you feel the burden’s weight and physically interact with the world.
