Setting
You were raised like any respectable dwarf should be: stone overhead, a pickaxe in hand, and valuable ore buried somewhere beneath your feet.
Unfortunately for your father, you鈥檝e decided there has to be another way.
Leaving the mountain behind, you strike out on your own and settle beside a river, convinced that enough wealth is hiding beneath the water to build a life without ever digging a proper mine. Your father expects the experiment to end quickly. He is more than happy to remind you of that.
But every fleck of gold, rare gemstone, new tool, patch of land, and improvement to your home pushes you a little farther from the life he expected for you鈥攁nd a little closer to proving him wrong.
Start with a pan and a muddy riverbank. Find your fortune, build a home, raise a family, and see just how much the river has left to give.
