VOID RED is an interactive card game where players use narrative cards to speak to enemies' memories. Players select cards bearing emotional attributes like “Forgiveness,” “Loss,” or “Anger,” bet their mental points, and offer a narrative. Each enemy possesses a unique “Memory Profile”; when a narrative resonates with that memory, a connection is formed. This game prioritizes choosing “meaning” over tactics, intentionally designed with narrative depth, emotional fluctuations, and philosophical space. Narrative strength is quantified as “Combat Value,” influenced by card attributes, delivery methods, and mental bets. Whether a narrative reaches its target is conveyed experientially to the player through visuals, sound, and UI. Narrative history is recorded as a personality log, reconstructed during subsequent playthroughs to weave the player's own words into the story. Cards evolve, break, or mutate, while enemy reactions shift based on narrative history, repeatedly deepening the connection to memory. VOID RED is a work that centers on the persistent question of “whether the narrative reaches its target,” entrusting the meaning of memory, emotion, and choice to the player.
