Yollen is back. This time you reach him by building a plan that your character carries out.
Building a chain
Put nodes on a canvas, wire them into a chain and press play. Your character walks the chain one node at a time and starts over from the top when it reaches the end. You never steer it yourself.
Fixing a loop that stalls
The bag holds twelve stacks, and a chain that never empties it fills up. When stamina runs out, every action after that takes five times as long. Find the node where it went wrong and wire in a fix, such as a Drop node to empty the bag or a walk home to sleep.
Groups and If nodes
A chain that works can be folded into a group node and used as one step inside a larger chain. An If node compares two numbers you wire into it and sends the character down its yes branch or its no branch. There is no code to write.
Skills and places
There are twelve skills, among them Woodcutting, Mining, Fishing, Cooking, Smelting, Alchemy, Fighting and Thieving. Levelling a skill makes its actions quicker, and better tools do the same. Traveling opens new places, from the Cave at level 10 to the Red Mountains, where you fight Yollen.
