Cutpoint is a fast tactical strategy game about controlling a network where every connection matters.
Expand from your base, move energy to the front line, reinforce the nodes holding your territory together, and push into enemy space. But territory is only yours while it remains connected to your base.
Sever the right link and an entire branch can collapse at once.
A single capture can wipe out a huge stretch of enemy territory, strand an opponent beyond the cut, destroy their supply network, or open a path straight toward their base.
Your enemy can do exactly the same to you.
FIGHT THE NETWORK, NOT JUST THE FRONT LINE
The battlefield is a web of connected nodes rather than an open map.
Every route creates opportunities and vulnerabilities. A heavily reinforced frontier means little if everything behind it depends on one exposed connection.
Push outward, create redundant routes, defend important junctions, and watch for enemy territory hanging from a single thread.
Sometimes the strongest move is taking another node.
Sometimes it is taking the one node that makes twenty others disappear.
ENERGY IS PHYSICAL
There is no global resource pool.
Bases and captured Generator Nodes produce energy locally. You must travel to that energy, collect it, carry it through your territory, and physically deliver it where it is needed.
Spend energy to:
• Claim neutral territory
• Break enemy ownership
• Reinforce important nodes
• Push through heavily defended routes
• Attack enemy infrastructure and bases
How far you expand matters. So does how far your supply has to travel.
If a player is defeated, the energy they were carrying remains on the battlefield and can be recovered by either side.
BUILD A NETWORK THAT CAN SURVIVE
Owned territory must maintain a continuous connection back to its original base.
If an enemy captures a bridge node and breaks that connection, everything on the disconnected side immediately becomes neutral.
That makes defence about more than piling resources into the front line. Strong networks have alternate routes. Fragile networks can lose half the map in seconds.
Your base is the heart of the entire structure. Lose it and you lose production, respawning, and the network supporting the rest of your territory.
A DIFFERENT BATTLEFIELD EVERY MATCH
Every match generates a fresh network of 180 connected nodes.
Routes, chokepoints, generators, vulnerable branches, and strategic opportunities change every time, forcing you to read the shape of the battlefield rather than memorize a map.
The same rules can produce a slow territorial squeeze, a desperate supply race, a sudden breakthrough, or a catastrophic chain collapse.
SOLO, TEAMS, OR TOTAL FREE-FOR-ALL
Configure matches from a flexible local lobby using human players, AI players, teams, or any mixture of them.
Play one-on-one, cooperate against AI, create asymmetric team battles, or put everyone on their own side and turn the network into a free-for-all.
Local human players receive their own split-screen view and can join using independently assigned controllers, with one optional keyboard player.
You can also create matches made entirely from AI players and watch the battle unfold in spectator mode.
AI THAT PLAYS BY THE SAME RULES
AI opponents use the same movement, territory, energy, reinforcement, death, respawn, and supply systems as human players.
They must collect and transport physical energy just like you do.
They also operate from limited local information rather than reading the entire battlefield at once.
AI players scout, remember discovered supply sources, evaluate visible network weaknesses, protect vulnerable routes, coordinate shared resources with teammates, and make strategic mistakes under pressure.
They do not need a different rulebook to compete.
