The Airship Armada Story
Various incarnations of Airship Armada have been in development for decades. The original concept dates back over twenty years. Even as the idea of a fleet battle game evolved, founders Alex and Nate fleshed out the Broken World with two full-length RPG campaigns. We've always loved the portrayal of airships in high fantasy and wondered why no one ever made a game focused on commanding these awesome vehicles!
We鈥檙e fans of high fantasy RPGs like Final Fantasy, as well as tactics and tabletop games like Final Fantasy Tactics, MechWarrior, and Warmachine. We鈥檙e also inspired by new indie tactics successes like The Banner Saga and Tactical Breach Wizards. You鈥檒l see learnings from all of these games and more in Airship Armada, though its core mechanics are uniquely its own!
