Go Long! is an indie casual sports game for PC that blends throwing, catching, and team strategy into fast-paced matches. Players form crews of floppy-armed characters who compete to score points by landing throws in the opposing half while defending their own territory. The core loop centers on precise throws, quick catches, and timely use of special abilities that recharge during play.
Gameplay
Matches take place on a field divided by a central line, with two teams of three players each. A throw that lands in the opponent's half scores two points, while completing a throw on the team's third touch earns three points as a Long Bomb. Catches keep the rally alive but do not score on their own, and players have three seconds to throw after catching. Dropping the ball, throwing it out of bounds, coming up short, or touching it a fourth time awards the point to the other team. Every catch heats the ball, and a hot ball delivers bonus points when thrown successfully.
Before each match, players select a loadout consisting of one trick ball, one sabotage ability, and one helper. Trick balls include Curveball, Splitter, Ghost Ball, Boomerang, and Moon Ball. Sabotage options feature Butterfingers, Banana Peels, Sprinkler, Fog Machine, and The Dog. Helpers provide Big Glove, Trampoline, Bat Smash, and Slow-Mo. These abilities can be activated anytime the ball is in play and recharge for repeated use. At halftime, a stadium boss such as a T-Rex, Giant Gnome, Dragon, Kraken, Lava Golem, or UFO appears. Both teams target its glowing weak spots for extra points, though the boss cannot decide the final winner.
Characters feature noodle arms and wobbly hats, with a dedicated button for flopping over. Players can dive, jump, and perform trick catches, pump-fake opponents, and call for the ball when open. After every match, the Play of the Game is shown to all participants, and standout moments are saved to Highlights. Progression involves beating League rivals to unlock additional powers and crew jerseys, while leveling up to 50 through regular play and daily goals rewards hats, ball colors, and trails. Crews can be named and customized freely.
Game Modes
Find Match lets players jump into online 3v3 games, with bots filling any empty spots.
