Disclaimer: This app is CURRENTLY utilising "vibe coding", however this will be phased out entirely before anyone ever has to pay for聽Gridlock Groove. The current plan is to use vibe coding to progress the base of the game, test user request and streamline the development process as I am only 1 person. Once the community and myself agrees the game is ready for v1.0 development, ALL聽AI code, images, or otherwise a non-human created asset will not be in聽Gridlock Groove. Until v1.0, this game will remain free for all. Once v1.0 comes out, i plan on making it $1.99, maybe cheaper. Thank you for reading this and understanding.聽
Welcome to聽Gridlock Groove, a rhythm game that even your potato can run.聽
Gridlock Groove is a rhythm game that works with whatever music you already have. Load an MP3, or other beatmaps, wait a few seconds while it listens to the song and figures out the beat, and then you鈥檙e playing.
The gameplay is simple. Blocks slide around a grid, turning corners on the beat. Some cells light up with a ring, and when a block reaches one, you hit a key (or click, or tap). A line shoots ahead to show where the block is going next, so you can see the rhythm coming. When you land a hit, the grid flashes and ripples out from that spot, and the whole thing pulses along with the bass.
I wanted it to feel good to mess around with, so there are a lot of settings:
Pick your own color, and the whole grid changes to match
Set the difficulty anywhere from 1 to 10
Adjust the audio offset if your setup has a bit of lag
Change the hitsound volume
Control how many blocks are on screen at once
Decide how close together notes can be before they merge into a single tap
PLEASE READ THE DISCLAIMER, I LOVE YOU ALL BUT PLEASE READ IT FIRST GOOBERS
