A real race, ridiculous runners
Every race in NO WAY DERBY is simulated from scratch: stride, fatigue, drafting, ground lost on the turns and the pace of the field decide who wins. Then the runners show up. A cardboard horse that falls apart in the rain. A rocking horse on wheels. A camel. They all run on the same physics, and each oddity follows a quirk rule with its trigger and chance shown on its card.
The crowd makes the odds, and the crowd is wrong
Odds come from a pool of virtual bettors buying tickets. They chase favourites, love lucky numbers and forget the weather. Spot where they are wrong and you get paid. Your own bets go into the pool too.
