Our Art Show is an indie casual simulation game on PC that centers on creative painting and personal gallery building. Players begin with a blank canvas and develop their own collection of artwork while customizing both the pieces and the space where they are displayed. The experience blends solo creative sessions with opportunities to connect with others through shared painting and community browsing.
Gameplay
The core loop revolves around selecting from a range of traditional art tools including pencils, crayons, markers, oil brushes, watercolor brushes, ink brushes, and palette knives. Color mixing happens directly on a palette, allowing players to experiment with blends before applying them to the canvas. Sessions can be paused and resumed later, with completed works saved or exported as images for use outside the game.
Customization extends beyond the canvas to the player character itself, where different colors and patterns can be applied to create unique appearances. Gallery arrangement involves choosing frames, positioning paintings on walls, and grouping works to form cohesive displays. Changes can be made as new pieces are finished, and friends may be invited to view the evolving space.
Game Modes
Several distinct modes provide variety beyond standard painting. Draw and Guess encourages players to create images for others to identify. Drawing Relay passes a single piece between participants for sequential contributions. Inspiration Drawing supplies prompts to spark new ideas, while Undercover introduces an element of hidden roles during the creative process.
These modes support both casual experimentation and structured group play. Community features allow browsing and collecting paintings created by other players, adding a layer of discovery to the simulation.
Multiplayer and Community Features
Online co-op and PvP elements enable painting alongside friends, where participants can observe each other's progress in real time and share feedback on completed works. The community hub serves as a central space for viewing and acquiring artwork from the broader player base. Solo painting remains available offline, while internet access unlocks the full social and collection aspects.
Development continues with the game currently in a testing phase. Features may evolve before the planned full release, and players are encouraged to provide feedback on any issues encountered during sessions.
Is It Worth Playing?
Our Art Show suits players who enjoy relaxed creative activities in a simulation format, particularly those drawn to art tools, customization, and light social interaction. The combination of detailed painting mechanics with gallery management and the listed game modes offers focused sessions that can be enjoyed alone or with others. As the title remains in active development with a planned release in early 2027 and no user reviews available yet, interested players may want to monitor updates for refinements to the current build.
