WIELD FIREARMS AND MELEE WEAPONS
Unlike in fantasy MMORPGs, waving a magic wand won’t help you in Persist Online. Instead, you can choose from a variety of firearms. However – even though going in guns blazing is fun, be aware that zombies and mutants are drawn to loud noise. By bashing zombies with a hammer you might live to see another day, which is a smart move in any apocalypse.

The company behind Persist Online operates one of the longest-running MMORPGs ever: Tibia, released in 1997. True to that legacy, Persist Online is a tough old-school experience. You can lose everything you’ve looted, so be careful when someone seems a little too friendly. Or let your best shotgun do the talking and walk away with their loot instead.
CRAFT WEAPONS AND ARMOR
Sure, you can fight your way through hordes of zombies to find a rifle that rolled with exactly the right mods. Or you could craft one from scratch and forge it into a gun that perfectly fits your playstyle. To unlock the full potential of its mods, you’ll of course have to leave the Safehouse and kill plenty of undead – only now, you’re doing it with your new favorite weapon.
BUILD PERFECT CHARS AND TEAMS
There are no classes in Persist Online. Just play your character however you want, and invest the points you earn in one of the many available skill trees. For example, progressing in Mechanics not only lets you dismantle washing machines more efficiently. It also lets you place a distracting robot and use it to save teammates who didn’t level as cleverly as you did.
PERSIST IN A DYNAMIC OPEN WORLD
Explore an open world that’s not only grand in scale but also big on details. Every building can be entered, but it might become a deadly trap. Since the post-apocalypse isn’t all sunshine, expect dynamic weather and a meaningful day-night cycle.
