Exploration and Puzzle-Solving: Traverse different areas of the Backrooms (abandoned office zones, dim corridors, secret hidden rooms, etc.), collect scattered clues and items, solve environmental puzzles, and unlock new escape routes. Every detail could be key to escaping.
Horror Evasion and Action Mechanics: The Backrooms harbor various unknown terrifying entities that appear randomly and pursue the player. You need to move skillfully, hide quickly, use environmental obstacles to dodge danger, and make strategic use of items to temporarily hinder entities, buying time for your escape.
Item Usage and Truth Exploration: Throughout exploration, you'll collect various items, which are your only support鈥攚hether used to solve puzzles, illuminate your path, or temporarily fend off entities. Every item could determine your survival. Meanwhile, during exploration, you'll gradually uncover the truth of the Backrooms: all seemingly "escapable" clues are actually traps.
