Welcome to Ismylra! A perfectly organized and balanced world, full of happy inhabitants!
All Reds fighting against each other passionately in Ahmar!
The Blues? Sobbing quietly in their wooden stilt houses over the Sea of Kýmaly.
For the Yellows, the shattered remnants of the Golden Empire still shine bright in Qans!
Many more live happily, kept in order by strict boundaries that prevent intermingling… but that’s enough about the good parts.
Let’s talk about the crown jewel: our chores-oriented model city of Gris!
NO COLORS! NO CHAOS! NO EMOTION!
Just PURE LOGIC, PREDICTABILITY, AND RESULTS! Isn’t that the greatest thing in the world? Everything functions perfectly between the white lights and black shadows of Gris!
An Insurgent? GREY? How could she feel—well, never mind.
There’s always someone sticking their nose where it doesn’t belong… But now, really, tell me dear:
Do you truly believe you can destroy OUR DREAMS?
Undertones is an adventure RPG where color shapes your journey. Play as Dorothea, an archivist from the gray city of Gris, and face a conspiracy that turned cities monochromatic, leaving their people trapped in a single shade of emotion. Fight in turn-based combat, solve puzzles, and restore what was stolen - one color at a time!
COLOR IS KNOWLEDGE!
Wielding her prismatic Scepter, Dorothea can channel color to reveal vanished interactive objects that uncover stories, secrets, and hidden advantages.
❤️ COLOR IS SOLUTION!
Your journey is filled with puzzles, and the answers lie in strategically activating color.
COLOR IS POWER!
Crossed paths with a foe? Thankfully you can rely on your adorable allies and unleash a full hand of color-powered spells in turn-based combats!
❤️ COLOR IS PERSONALITY!
Ismylra is shaped by the psychological impact of color: from the melancholic yet wise citizens of the blue city of Kýmali, to the passionate and impulsive warriors of Ahmar, and the sel-centered citizens of the Yellow Empire of Qans.
All gifs and videos shown are from the Yellow City of Qans, the area currently being developed for the demo. We’re looking for external help to bring Undertones to life as a full game, featuring 8 cities, 6 adorable allies, and a wide variety of color-based puzzles and situations.
How can you help Undertones?
That’s easy: wishlist the game! It helps us show that Dorothea has her own audience waiting to see her story unfold.
Thank you!
