The solution: the Rheingold!
If you wanted to be competitive and flush the money into your own country, you had to think ahead: in 1928, the German Reichsbahn therefore acquired some Pullmann coaches to build a very special train. The Rheingold quickly developed into a real competitor for the luxury trains of the CIWL. Consisting of first class, second class and baggage cars, this train actually offered a level of luxury that was in no way inferior to the famous Orient Express. High-quality kitchens guaranteed that the guests' physical well-being was never neglected.
3DZUG is nostalgic and brings the luxurious Rheingold back to the track. All of the carriages have been realised in detail, both inside and out: all of the carriages have what are probably the most elaborate passenger views ever depicted and are completely walk-in. Whether you want to enter the first class, the kitchen, the second class or the luggage and customs area - for the first time in almost 100 years it is now possible to experience this train in its original condition.
