German-built doubledecker cars from the VEB Waggonbau Goerlitz factory served Romanian regional passenger routes for CFR and CFR Calatori. These 26.8m vehicles on Gorlitz VI bogeys hit 120km/h and appeared in Germany, Czech Republic, and Poland with evolving blue paint schemes. In this Trainz 2022 simulation, pilots recreate authentic operations using one detailed doubledecker car.
High-fidelity PBR textures cover exteriors and custom realistic interiors across lower, middle, and upper decks. Doors open and close through the Properties tab or during passenger loading with matching sounds, while animated couplers, air hoses, and bogeys deliver custom noises plus buffer contacts at three levels. Night modes light up interiors and exteriors, editable destination boards set departure, via, and arrival stations, and options like brakeshoes, train-end signs, physics disable, and up to six LOD levels suit precise simulation enthusiasts.
Manufactured at the "VEB Waggonbau Goerlitz" factory in Germany, these versatile doubledecker cars were used on regional passenger transport by the Romanian national company CFR and then by CFR Calatori, being repainted into various paintschemes through the years, mainly different types of blue paint. They are 26,8m in length, sit on Gorlitz VI bogeys, have a top speed of 120km/h and are present in other countries also, such as Germany, Czech Republic and Poland.
