Deadly Voyage is an action game set in 1936 aboard luxury ocean liners, where players participate in a multiplayer murder party. Each passenger receives the name of a target to eliminate while avoiding their own hunter amid the crowds, ballrooms, and decks of the ship.
Gameplay
The core loop revolves around stalking and eliminating a designated target without drawing attention from security or other passengers. Players receive only a name and a general location for their mark, requiring careful navigation through multiple decks to locate them. Improvised weapons form the primary means of attack, ranging from everyday items like carving knives and ice picks to more unusual options such as a fire axe or a bronze statuette. Using common weapons repeatedly reduces payout, which encourages creative approaches like rigging explosive wallets or dropping chandeliers on targets.
Security systems add tension, as guards and cameras patrol the halls. Being spotted with a weapon drawn or committing a kill in view leads to time in the brig. Wounds carry over between rounds, making medical kits essential for recovery. Cash from successful kills must be deposited in the ship's bank to count toward the final score, with the player holding the largest account at the end declared the winner.
Game Modes
Hunt mode assigns one target and one hunter per player in a setup where identities remain hidden from the group. Deathmatch removes the target list entirely, turning every passenger into a potential victim while maintaining security oversight on all actions. Both modes support the same core systems of improvised kills and evasion.
Host options allow customization of rules for private sessions. Online and LAN play accommodate up to 32 participants, with text chat and proximity voice available for coordination or deception. Offline single-player pits players against bots on the same maps and mechanics.
The Meridian Liner
The initial setting is the Meridian, a five-deck vessel featuring polished walnut, marble, and brass interiors. Passengers move between areas including the swimming pool and sauna on lower levels, the grand staircase, lifts, ballrooms, sun decks, lifeboats, and funnels above. Additional liners are planned for future voyages, expanding the environments available for matches.
Is It Worth Playing?
Deadly Voyage targets players who enjoy hidden-role multiplayer experiences combined with environmental interaction and risk management. The blend of stalking, improvised tactics, and security avoidance creates matches that reward patience and creativity over direct confrontation. With support for both large groups and solo play against bots, it suits varied group sizes and skill levels. As an upcoming title scheduled for 2027 release, its appeal will depend on how well the systems perform in practice, but the described mechanics align with fans of social deduction and asymmetric action games on PC.
