Story
On her journey home for the Spring Festival, Yuanyuan falls asleep and finds herself back in her childhood hometown—a small town in southern China in 2003. At the age of seven, she was sent back to live and study there, becoming one of the many "left-behind children" whose parents had left to work far from home.
The cicadas, shady lanes, drifting cooking smoke, and endless fields of her memories come back to life.
