Story
When a dark mist laid itself over the land, rendering most regions uninhabitable, mysterious towers started rising from the ground. These towers released many a treacherous beast upon this sorry world. However they also seemed to keep the mist at bay, leading to the last survivors of mankind to gather around and explore their perilous depths. You are a Marked One, one of many, doomed to be molded anew in a seemingly endless cycle of life and death. It is on you to use your peculiar power to venture deep into the tower and uncover the truth about the mist, the towers and the fate of the world.
Prepare
The town of Fincester is home to many strange and eccentric inhabitants, all having one thing in common: Wanting to survive. Help the townspeople in these trying times and develop Fincester鈥檚 facilities using resources gathered in the tower to unlock various items and upgrades that will ensure you don鈥檛 enter the dangerous tower unprepared. After all, preperation is key to survive and it can never hurt to have too many friends.
Adapt
The life of a Marked One is an uncertain one. They never know what form they will take next nor how long they will inhabit their current incarnation before perishing and being molded anew. Not everyone is strong enough to wield a sword, just as not everyone knows how to make use of firearms or the arcane. Know your strengths and weaknesses or death will be certain!
Survive
In the tower every fight, every step could be your last. Your enemies will use everything in their power to stop you. It is on you to do the same. Gather and use a wide variety of firearms and melee weaponry - all with different elements and status effects - to gain the upper hand. Avail yourself of the magical and arcane powers your birth sign bestowed upon you. Trick your enemies into walking right into one of their own traps or attacks. Sneak right by them and try for pacifism. Nothing is off the table when it comes to surviving the tower.
