Story Mode: starting at 50 pieces and ending at 2,000. Boxes come down one at a time. Finish one to unlock the next, and clear a whole shelf to open the next shelf. The early boxes are short enough to do in a sitting; the last ones will stay on your table for days. Every box keeps its own save, so you can leave one half-finished, go do something else, and find it exactly as you left it.
Custom Mode: turns any picture you own into a puzzle. Bring in a photo or an illustration, choose how fine to cut it, from a quick 30 pieces up to a 3,000 piece sitting, pick the colour of the box and give it a name. It goes onto a shelf of your own alongside everything else you have made.
Sort Stuff:聽pieces come out of the box the way they come out of a real one. Some land face up, most land face down, and the split is different every time. Turning them over is its own first pass, and it is where the charms hidden on eight piece backs turn up. What is face up gets swept onto mats either side of the board, sorted by edge, by colour, by whatever the picture needs.
Cool Tools:聽three ways to use your hand, picked off a wheel under your pointer. Hand sends one piece at a time. Sweep sends a handful, stroke across a heap and everything you touch goes to the mat, stroke back to pull it off. Sort lays a mat out in rows so you can see what you have.
Set Timers:聽only got a few minutes, or waiting on a queue or a friend? Streaming and the game you meant to play is broken, patching, or down? Set a timer for 5 to 30 minutes. It rings when the time is up, and your puzzle is still there when you come back.
Design Your Table: want a green baize or a walnut top? Pick the cloth, its texture, the board the puzzle sits on, and the mats you sort pieces onto. There are twelve cloths, nine boards and nine mats. It's one table, and it's there for every puzzle you do.
Find Charms: eight pieces in every Story Mode box have something printed on the back. The only way to find one is to turn that piece the right way up, so charms turn up while you work rather than being handed to you. What you find stays on the box for good.
