Arcade-style hack-n-slash combat drives Pylon: Rogue, blending non-stop action with RPG character progression in a roguelike format. Players master a one-button combo and charge attack system, relying on precise timing to survive with just one life. Dozens of unlockable items and off-the-wall power-ups stack for additive damage, visible as shimmering effects on characters, while procedural generation ensures varied maps and item drops every run. Four distinct heroes offer unique playstyles: Looticus Maximus wields sword and shield or dual shields for balanced melee; Rokk delivers tanky stone golem punches with fire or ice variants; Killyana strikes as a glass cannon assassin using dual daggers; and Ms. Underhood fires ranged archer shots from her longbow. Different skills and items unlock completion paths for each hero and weapon set. Fans of tight timing, permadeath challenges, and replayable indie action-RPG runs will keep coming back.
