Introduction

Ten Years of Rain is a Zelda-like retro fantasy adventure that takes the old 8 bit, top down, exploration formula and twists it, creating a new setting inspired by Central Asian myth and lore. Players will explore a vast overworld, stretching from the Gobi Desert to the Caspian Sea. Using their wits and combat skills, they will delve into dark dungeons full of terrifying monsters and complex item based puzzles. Do you have what it takes to explore a fallen world and defeat the Great Khan?

Start Your Adventure

High atop a forgotten mountain, a nameless child endured. They lived off rot-slick mushrooms and rusted memories, honing the edge of their father’s blade against stone and sorrow. Below, the world drowned — not in water, but in shadow.

Now the rain has ceased. The earth stinks of blood and ruin. The Great Khan’s monsters roam free, feasting on what little survived.

With only a blade, a hawk, and the ghosts of the old world, the young warrior descends.

You will walk the drowned roads.
You will face beasts born of nightmare and plague.
You will either bring fire back to the dead — or die like a dog in the mud.

Explore a Cursed World

Dotted with dungeons, hidden sanctuaries, and monsters, the world is a place of mystery and wonder. There are several different environments to explore, each inspired by the beautiful Central Asian landscape. The world is vast, and each tile contains at least one secret to be discovered.

Solve Dangerous Puzzles

Scattered throughout the overworld are challenging dungeons for the hero to conquer. Use your wits to overcome the traps, monsters, and puzzles inside for powerful rewards.

Use Powerful Magics

Learn a variety of skills and spells to help with your quest. Discover hidden weapons and equipment to gain new power. Though you begin with sword and hawk, you can finish with an arsenal.

Face Off Against the Monsters of the Khan

The land has been filled with the monstrous armies of the Great Khan. Face off against beasts, undead, sorcerers, and other foul soldiers of evil using your blade and whatever magic and tools you can find.

Discover Secret Histories

Discover pieces of lore and legend hidden throughout the world. Reveal the story through exploration of the world’s ruins and whispered conversations with the few human survivors. Who is the Great Khan? And what caused the steppe to flood?
