The Hero's Legacy is a hardcore co-op action RPG in pixel art: a loot-driven hack and slash with bullet-hell bosses and permadeath. Play solo, host your friends online, or play with up to 4 players on one couch in local split-screen co-op. Chase uniques and 6-link gear, and build your hero on a huge passive tree. When a hero falls, they stay fallen. Your family keeps its story, its skills, its Family Bank and its Legacy, and the next hero of that class starts stronger.

Loot drops on the ground with labels and beams. A loot filter with presets, colours and sounds hides the junk.
Rare gear with tiered affixes, uniques, and graded endgame drops: Kindled, Blazing and Radiant.
Gear sets with build-changing bonuses, from levelling to the endgame.
Up to 6 linked sockets: slot skill runes and the sigils that change how they work.
Crafting orbs to reroll, add, remove and lock affixes, and the Twinning Glass: a jackpot orb that makes an exact copy of your best item. Know when to stop.
Armour, Evasion or Energy Shield: every build picks its defence.
Build anything
12 classes at launch. Start with 4, unlock the rest through your heroes' deeds.
A huge passive tree with keystones that change how you play, like Spark Reflex: your crits cast the skills socketed in the tree. Built for theorycrafters.
Lodestones: stones you set into the tree for extra stats. Craft them with orbs, or find a Relic that changes the nodes around it.
Skill runes for every style: ring a temple bell, spin through a pack, raise a legion of bones, walk as a living pyre.
Dodge it together
Every boss has its own bullet-hell patterns: rings, spirals, aimed volleys and safe gaps you have to find.
Dragons and huge world bosses roam the high-level lands. Everyone who fights them gets their own loot.
Heavy hits are telegraphed, and the death screen tells you what killed you.
