The聽Life聽and聽Times聽of聽Daniel聽Vastberaden聽(p.聽1906) is a聽biography of聽the New York mechanical聽engineer聽and聽inventor聽written聽by author聽Bernadette聽Brooks.聽The聽book聽is notable for聽the聽first聽public聽discussion of聽Daniel's聽beheading and his聽miraculous聽survival聽in the聽winter of聽1862,聽which he had concealed from all but two people聽until聽his second death in聽1901.
