Oh, you mean that fountain of life? That thing is super cool. It not only saves your progress, but it revives your character too. And, it projects itself into the dungeon to create fountain resting and save stations for you. It's like it has a mind of its own. Buy the game and take a sip and see for yourself!
However, when its life-giving properties were discovered that's where all the trouble began. You see... in this story, some people want to live forever but are going about it the wrong way. Take our main villain for example. His dark magic has aged and corrupted his body, so when he heard about the fountain he immediately invaded the village.
The wizard sought to consume the magical village fountain and take its life-giving properties, but the fountain has a magic of its own. With its powerful life magic the fountain has repelled the wizard.
Stunned and angry the wizard has hidden in the castle and begun experiments to break the fountains' protection. His experiments have produced monstrous creatures that roam throughout the halls. He then hid his location by casting a powerful spell of "Shifting". This makes the dungeons change each time they are entered. He has hidden the path to find him and commanded his minions guard his halls.
